No one else was doing rave-inspired breakbeat jams like these back then, and absolutely no one else is releasing them now.<\/p>\n<p>Time-masked identity gateways aside, this is some of\u00a0<strong>Twin Turbo\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0best output ever. It\u2019s not every day a label harnesses the energies of three different eras in two high-quality digital recordings. But today is not every day.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on who you ask,\u00a0<strong>Tiga\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>alter ego\u00a0<strong>The Dove<\/strong>\u00a0is either the best or worst-kept secret in the technosphere. Either way, his alias has frequently afforded him the chance to bash out gems without too many preconceptions. \u00a0This two-track EP proves he\u2019s been sitting on a veritable goldmine. Released on\u00a0<strong>Turbo Recordings<\/strong>\u00a0sub-label,\u00a0<strong>&#8216;Twin Turbo&#8217;\u00a0<em>Feels Like Fire<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0builds slowly from the pitter-patter of woodblock-style percussion and juicy, throbbing toms, with a none-more-classic breakbeat rising up in tandem with squelchy acid percolation. It\u2019s a thundering slab of a track, relentless, murky and driving.\u00a0<strong><em>Hypnobreaks Bonus Beats<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0does exactly what it says on the tin, mashing up metallic breakbeats and old skool snares with brooding monotone bass thrusts and spooky, distorted atmospheric wafts.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Essentially it\u2019s a side project for tracks that I think are a bit off my usual\u00a0output\u201d he says. It\u2019s less an alias than a persona he adopts after his\u00a0third morning\u00a0bowl of\u00a0cereal,\u00a0when he goes and wanders around the neighbourhood in search of someone to inspire.&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\n&#8211; Tiga<\/p>\n<p>Vault Traxx comes after Tiga dropped the\u00a0<em>\u201cHAL EP\u201d\u00a0<\/em>with\u00a0<strong>K\u00f6lsch<\/strong>, comprised of\u00a0<strong><em>HAL<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 previously released as a single &amp; regularly featured on\u00a0<strong>BBC R1<\/strong>\u00a0dance shows, championed by\u00a0<strong>Annie Mac, Pete Tong<\/strong>\u00a0&amp; others \u2013 as well as\u00a0<em>First Blood\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Still So High<\/em>.
