London’s esteemed APE Presents\u00a0Field Day<\/strong>\u00a0has once again taken the stage, proving itself as a standout highlight in the UK festival circuit. With a legacy of championing the alternative and pushing the boundaries of electronic music,\u00a0Field Day’s 16th edition<\/strong> was nothing short of a triumph. Set against the iconic backdrop of Victoria Park, this year’s sold-out event welcomed a staggering\u00a050,000 guests<\/strong>\u00a0who experienced an audio visual exploration of some of the electronic music scene\u2019s most visionary artists.<\/p>\n

Field Day’s 2023 presented a program of diverse and forward-thinking musical immersion. As London\u2019s leading alternative event, the Main Stage hosted a captivating roster of talent headlined by the enigmatic\u00a0Aphex Twin<\/strong>, who returned to Field Day after an acclaimed set in 2017. Aphex Twin aka Richard D. James cast a spell over the audience with a performance accompanied by mesmerizing Weirdcore visuals. Aphex was preceded by the boundary-pushing\u00a0Arca<\/strong>, who delivered a riveting and artistic showcase that stunned the crowd with an unpredictable, emotional and sensual performance, a standout show from the acclaimed artist. Additional performances by\u00a0Fever Ray, Surasinge, Sudan Archives, Jayda G<\/strong>\u00a0and more showcased why Field Day is acclaimed as the leader in all things experimental.<\/p>\n

The West Stage witnessed the closing brilliance of eclectic DJ Bonobo<\/strong>, bestowing the crowd with a monumental set that encapsulated the audience, whilst earlier experimental virtuoso Jon Hopkins<\/strong> held the crowd spellbound with his unique sonic exploration. Meanwhile, the CUPRA North Arena unveiled a realm of abstract sounds, with the highly-anticipated performance of RnB maverick Kelela<\/strong> who did not disappoint, and TSHA<\/strong> confidently delivered her very first live set at Field Day 2023.<\/p>\n

For the third consecutive year, the revered Mary Anne Hobbs<\/strong>, a stalwart of the underground movement and 6 Music presenter, presented the All Queens<\/strong> stage at this year\u2019s edition of Field Day. The eclectic programme was a celebration of female, LGBQTI+, and trans talents, spotlighting cutting-edge angular techno, electrifying electro, and leftfield oddities. The elite lineup included the likes of Chlo\u00e9 Robinson, Anastasia Kristensen, Elkka, Yun\u00e8 Pinku (DJ Set)<\/strong>, and quest?onmarq<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n

Field Day’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of musical innovators was evident in the New Sounds stage, a curated line-up dedicated to emerging artists who are shaping the future of music. A platform for genre-bending artists Love Remains, Gazzi, Art School Girlfriend, and Bibi Seck<\/strong>, all of whom are pushing the boundaries of their respective sounds.<\/p>\n

Field Day founders Broadwick Live<\/strong>, are on a mission to create impact through electronic music and electronic arts, driven to create pure yet powerful live experiences. With an unrivalled portfolio of statement venues including Printworks London, Depot Mayfield, Beams and DRUMSHEDS<\/strong>, Broadwick Live have cemented themselves as leaders in events in culture and the creative industries.<\/p>\n
