Designed from the ground up and engineered for Ibiza\u2019s newest nightclub, Holosphere 2.0<\/b> is not a show, it\u2019s a vision fully realised. Towering over eight metres high and weighing eight tonnes<\/b>, the Sphere is the result of years of obsessive design and technical refinement, combining a live, reactive performance with a near-impossible feat of engineering.<\/p>\n
At the heart of it all: Eric Prydz<\/b>, surrounded by three transparent layers of custom LED screens<\/b>, performing inside the world\u2019s first holographic concert sphere. Unlike anything seen before in club culture, Holosphere 2.0 is an arena-scale show crafted for a dark, smoky rave environment. It’s not bound by a fixed storyline. It\u2019s alive, unpredictable, and shaped in real-time by Prydz\u2019s ever-evolving musical selections.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019ve waited six years for this,”<\/i><\/span> <\/i>says Eric Prydz. “Not because we wanted to, but because we had to. The technology needed to catch up with our vision as every single part of Holosphere 2.0 is bespoke and original. This is what we always dreamed of.\u00a0<\/i><\/i><\/p>\n To build the Sphere, every component had to be custom made. Nothing was off-the-shelf. Engineered with precision, the structure strikes a razor-thin balance between engineering-grade strength <\/b><\/span>and near-total transparency<\/b>. A feat made possible by [UNVRS]\u2019s cavernous main room and arena like-infrastructure, making it one of the only venues in the world capable of supporting it.<\/p>\n A dream team of animators and digital artists, including GMUNK<\/b> brought the Sphere to life, blending cinematic CGI with practical effects captured in a studio in Los Angeles. Giant crystal orbs, plasma balls and burning glass were filmed in 360 degrees, laser-mapped, and stitched into immersive holographic environments \u2014 each loop a standalone digital sculpture.<\/p>\n The result is a generational leap forward in show content and visual fidelity. The resolution, pixel pitch, colour depth and engineering have all radically improved since the original Holosphere debuted in 2019. But be aware, this is not a sequel, it’s a complete reimagination of the iconic show concept.<\/p>\n Joining Prydz on this monumental opening night were Rivo, J Ribbon<\/b> and Bender<\/b> \u2014 three rising talents who brought their own unique energy to a truly historic event<\/p>\n Conceived by The Night League<\/span>, the creative force behind Ushua\u00efa and H\u00ef Ibiza, and led by Owner, Founder and CEO Yann Pissenem<\/span> –\u00a0 <\/span>the venue represents a bold new chapter, part nightclub, part sculpture, part dream. <\/span>Beyond its technical specs, the venue offers the creative space and freedom needed to push Holosphere 2.0 to its limits.
