After 9 years away without a club in Manchester, <strong>Sankeys<\/strong> is finally returning home, with a venue set to open in the city centre \u2014 the first official Sankeys club in the city since the beloved Ancoats venue closed its doors in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The new <strong>Sankeys Mancheste<\/strong>r will be an intimate <strong>500-capacity venue<\/strong>, designed to capture the raw underground energy that made Sankeys one of the most iconic club brands in the world. Expect a stripped-back, intimate feel with its iconic LED matrix grid installation that will immerse clubbers in light, sound and atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>Having been voted <strong>Best Club in the World<\/strong> in 2010, Sankeys remains one of the most respected and influential names in global club culture \u2014 a legacy built in Manchester and celebrated across the world.<\/p>\n<p>The opening weekend will take place on <strong>Friday 30th and Saturday 31st January<\/strong>, marking the official return of Sankeys to its Manchester roots.<\/p>\n<p>Following the launch, the club will host <strong>Sankeys Saturdays<\/strong> every week starting <strong>Saturday 7th February<\/strong>, featuring the return of legendary night <strong>Tribal Sessions<\/strong> on a monthly residency.<\/p>\n<p>True to its heritage, Sankeys will continue its long-standing tradition of discovering and breaking new talent. From legendary debuts by <strong>ANOTR, The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, David Guetta, Franky Rizardo, Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Solomun,<\/strong> and many others, the club has always been a breeding ground for the next generation of electronic music pioneers. The new Sankeys Manchester will carry this torch forward, championing the finest emerging underground house, tech-house and techno artists, alongside a selection of classic Sankeys names.<\/p>\n<p>Creative Director, <strong>David Vincent<\/strong> commented: <em>\u201cWhat we\u2019re creating is an intimate underground club with a chill out room. We will only be open one night a week on the Saturday. There will be no VIP or phones allowed on the dancefloor \u2014 everyone is a VIP.
