035 YOU HAVE DUAL US/ MEXICAN NATIONALITY AND SPEAK BOTH ENGLISH AND SPANISH. HOW DO YOUR CULTURAL BACKGROUNDS INFLUENCE YOUR MUSIC? Being born in Mexico and spending time in places like Mexico City and Tulum really shaped how I hear and feel music — especially from an atmospheric perspective. There’s something cinematic and emotional in the way music moves there. Then being in L.A., it’s a whole mix of cultures and club scenes. You’ve got everything from deep house to reggaeton to techno all under one roof. That diversity definitely seeps into my sound — both rhythmically and emotionally. YOUR LATEST EP DAY TIME MOON IS GETTING A LOT OF ATTENTION. CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THE CREATIVE PROCESS BEHIND IT? Sergio and I were just in that zone. We hit the studio wanting to channel some classic house energy, and that’s exactly where it went. No overthinking, just instinct and vibe. It was one of those sessions where everything felt natural. THERE’S A NEW RELEASE COMING UP NOW FEATURING A REMIX BY MARKUS HOMM. WHAT CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THAT PROJECT? All I can say is… I got the remix master today and it’s sounding like fire. Markus really brought his signature touch — groovy, deep, super clean. I’m excited for people to hear it. It adds a whole new dimension to the original. YOU’RE WORKING ON SOLO MUSIC, HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM WORKING WITH OTHERS? I enjoy both, honestly. Collaborating is great for bouncing ideas and catching a different energy. But working solo lets me really get in my head and stretch the sound in new ways. I can take my time, follow my own pace — it’s a whole different kind of creative freedom. WHAT ARTISTS OR SOUNDS HAVE BEEN INSPIRING YOU LATELY, AND HOW ARE THEY INFLUENCING YOUR UPCOMING WORK? Lately, I’ve been really into what labels like Diynamic have been putting out — that blend of indie melodic textures with a strong house foundation. There’s emotion, but there’s also that drive. It’s been pushing me to explore more contrasts in my own work — dreamy but danceable. A FESTIVAL OR CLUB YOU’VE ALWAYS DREAMED OF PLAYING AT? I’d love to play robot heart at burning man ! Sunrise set. WHAT ARE 3 TIPS YOU’D GIVE NEW ARTISTS? STUFF YOU WISH SOMEONE HAD TOLD YOU WHEN YOU WERE STARTING OUT. Trust your self first always wear ear plugs when you go out and drink water.
