My summer is going very well, we are currently in August so it’s very hot and very busy but always a lot of fun. WHILE MOST PEOPLE ARE ON HOLIDAY, YOU’RE RIGHT IN THE PEAK OF THE SEASON. HOW ARE YOU HANDLING IT? My work keeps me occupied for most of the week! I try to keep to a routine, that way I focus on getting my work done and not the many wonderful distractions that Ibiza has to offer. BEFORE WE TALK ABOUT YOU, LET’S TALK A BIT ABOUT PARADISE. YOU’VE MOVED ACROSS THE ROAD FROM SAN ANTONIO TO UNVRS, A SUPER AMBITIOUS PROJECT. HOW HAS THE CHANGE BEEN? Yes! A very exciting change, also a learning experience. We’re essentially starting again by figuring out the new layout, working with a new team throughout the whole venue, from the artist team to the security team. I have known some of their team before the move over to [UNVRS] which was fun for me as they’re my friends but I’m still getting to know everyone and building relationships. It’s a process and not always easy or as quick as you’d like it to be but they have been great and a pleasure to work with. [UNVRS] is an amazing venue, so much to see and experience. Paradise is doing really well there, it gets better and better each week! EVERYONE SPEAKS WONDERS ABOUT YOUR PARTY — SOLD-OUT AFTER SOLD-OUT — WHAT ARE THE KEYS TO YOUR SUCCESS? Paradise always has a very friends and family vibe, we want to share the excitement and get everyone in the mix. We pride ourselves on hospitality and making people feel involved and part of the party. Of course one of the biggest factors of the success being the insane lineups curated by the one and only Nick Yates & Jamie Jones himself. The music flows so well all night, you almost forget you’re dancing for 6+ hours. Also the incredible themes each year from Kim, our creative director, the production really brings the designs to life. Even now on week 11 I find myself gazing around the club admiring the production, it’s so exciting! I always look forward to seeing what ideas she comes up with every year. Paradise is not just a party but a full on experience musically and visually. YOU TRIUMPHED AT DC-10, YOU TRIUMPHED AT AMNESIA, AND NOW YOU’RE TRIUMPHING AT [UNVRS]…WHERE IS YOUR LIMIT? We just did our first Paradise festival in London this month, which was an incredible achievement so I think it’s safe to say we keep pushing the limit. There were 4 stages, 27 DJs, a 2010 throwback set from Jamie and a live performance from Ali Love. The energy from the crowd dancing and singing along was insane! I would love to do more worldwide shows, bringing Paradise to different cities.
