010 MANY ARTISTS ARE FINDING SUCCESS IN THE UNITED STATES WITH NUMEROUS GIGS. DO YOU THINK IT’S A MARKET THAT CAN OPEN DOORS FOR YOU IN EUROPE? I’ve been playing in the US for almost 2 years now and it’s definitely opened up a lot of doors for me throughout Europe. I want to keep growing and being able to share my music in more places around the world so the US is an amazing opportunity for this as its such a big country. YOU HAVE A REMIX OF ELI AND FUR. HOW DID THIS COLLABORATION COME ABOUT? They released their album on Anjunadeep and the team reached out to me about the remix. I’ve been following Eli & Fur for years and love what they do, when I heard the original track from their album ‘Temptation’ I knew straight away I wanted to do the remix. I put a club spin on it and took parts of the vocal and musical elements to make it into my style. ONE OF YOUR PROJECTS IS TO CREATE YOUR OWN LABEL. WHY? Having my own label and platform is a way for me to have no limits on how I can express myself as an artist, it’s a way for people to see and hear everything I’m about as a producer. There’s no boundaries on what you can do with it, events, label showcases, live streams, collaborations, albums, etc. I’m really excited to have complete creative control with something that’s my own and I want to support other producers on the label as well because I get sent so much great music which I would love to release. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MUSIC SCENE IN EUROPE AND THE UNITED STATES? It depends where you play in the US, each state is quite different to the next which I like as I get to play to different crowds every time which is fun. I think Miami and Brooklyn has quite a similar scene to parts of Europe, and then other states are into different styles. I find from talking and meeting people from the US they’re really open minded with music and they will see a lot of different DJs play.
