100 DERRICK CARTER STUDIO ‘MACHINES’ FOR SALE

For years, Derrick Carter‘s studio has been filled with an enviable collection of synthesizers, drum machines, vintage recording equipment, and more instruments he has assembled over his decades of musical creation. As he says, he always wanted to have a big collection but now, he has decided to get rid of some of his collection.

Carter’s equipment collection includes classics such as the Roland TR-909 that Carter used on his Sound Patrol records and on the remixes released by Classic, the label he founded in the mid-90s, as well as rare pieces such as an Ensoniq Fizmo Transwave digital synthesizer.

According to Derrick: “There was a promoter who was organizing a rave and had Jeff Mills on the line up and he needed the 909 for his performance and I lent him mine. So this is my 909 where Jeff Mills also performed in a show”.
