FAMILY PIKNIK FESTIVAL SETS NEW DATE OF SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 12th

After several months of doubt and unknowing, it is time we admitted our helplessness in the face of the current health crisis. Following the speech of the Prime Minister on April 28th 2020 and the decision to extend the state of health emergency in France until July, Family Piknik will not be able to welcome you on July 25 & 26 at the Grammont site in Montpellier.

Our momentum is lost for this year but an immense energy continues to animate us. Your messages of support and the love that you show us every day give us the strength and the desire to overcome this virus which is taking away our freedoms and condemning us to be temporarily separated, as soon as possible. All this reminds us of how little we are, so we suffer without moping and we console ourselves knowing that we will dance together again as soon as it is finally possible. Every day since February, we heard everything and its opposite about this Covid-19 epidemic. Our emotions have been put to the test and uncertainty has become king. We have long hoped for a normal summer, but now we know it will not be that. We can not imagine spending an entire year without you.

We therefore give you an appointment on Saturday September 12, 2020

This new event combines both the postponement of our Boarding to Family Piknik (initially scheduled for June 6) and the partial postponement of the festival. Indeed, thanks to the support of the airport management, we will be able to start at 11 a.m. and go until the middle of the night. The big stage that we had already developed for the festival will be installed in the heart of a new space, much larger in size, with a breathtaking view of the slopes. The strong points of the concept (picnic, open air, mix of generations) will be in the spotlight. In terms of programming, we have managed to recalibrate some of the major artists announced on the festival’s line-up, like Worakls (who will present his new Live show with us) and Artbat.
