TIME LOST:

NYE festival Lost Paradise returns with Jon Hopkins, Palms Trax, Jackmaster, Âme, Stephen Bodzin and more

Experience a microcosm of love, friendship, fun and community, and discover your hidden wonderland at Lost Paradise.

Returning after a sell-out three years, Lost Paradise is the unparalleled New Years’ experience. Held from 28th December 2017 – 1st January 2018 in the picturesque natural surrounds of Glenworth Valley just an hour north from Sydney, the event is respectfully constructed on ancient land known to local Indigenous elders as ‘Paradise Lost’.

Crafted to pamper and provoke, Lost Paradise offers a complete escape from urban life. Re-awaken your sense of wanderlust and adventure with the festival’s secret hideaways, glittering late night discos, and inspirational art and performance repertoire. It’s a feast for the senses with the return of Shambala Fields, home to all things mind, body and soul; Lost Feast and Lost Village, whimsical communal dining and pop-up foodie offerings; and Glamping Village, luxurious tee-pees and abodes complete with porter service.

This year Lost Paradise is excited to announce an epic music collective with RÜFÜS and Matt Corby leading a line-up of 76 local and international artists, including Swedish electronic outfit Little Dragon, the magnetic Meg Mac, Sydney trio DMA’s and Melbournian indie-pop band Client Liaison.

The main stage Arcadia will be home to indie sounds, Lost Disco is set to bring the bass with techno and dance music, and Paradise Club’s DJ sets will have you dancing late into the night with local acts and surprise guests. Two new stages have also been added to the fray this year with My Mum’s Disco to take you on a trip down memory lane with nostalgic 80’s kitsch, retro beats, bingo and karaoke, and the K-Sub Beach Club hosted by Victorian theme camp collective Kraken.

Nestled by the water, the magical Shambala Fields will welcome some of the yoga world’s leading practitioners. From dawn to dusk, you’ll have the chance to reconnect with your body, mind and spirit with beautiful yoga flows, dynamic dance, meditation, workshops and more led by headlining teachers Ana Forrest & Jose Calarco, Mark Whitwell, Simon Borg Olivier, Nicole Walsh and Mark Breadner. Here you can also peruse The Bazaar, an eclectic market of festive fashion curios, jewellery, a chai tent and wholesome treats.

And, if this wasn’t enough, this year’s Lost Village will see a lovingly curated line-up of pop-up trucks with everything from home-made dim sum, fusion Japanese street-food and southern-Indian delicacies through to authentic wood fired pizzas, vegan and biodynamic fare.

The mix of stalls will include the likes of Milky Lane, Bondi’s famed burger bar which will be serving up a selection of exclusive menu items especially for Lost Paradise, including a breakfast hangover club. Eat Art Truck with ex sous chef of Tetsuya will be serving up hot-smoked pulled pork buns, Australia’s largest organic restaurant Agape will have sustainable, healthful fare and The Dosa Deli offers handmade samosas with coconut chutneys and turmeric masala chai. Maverick Wings serves the likes of kimchi coleslaw and crispy chicken wings, Harvest Life as Tsuru has a menu of wholesome soba noodle salads and poke bowls, and Cuban Cantina offers nutritious, traditional Havana-inspired dishes. There will also be another Lost Feast curated especially for guests, which will serve up a lavish communal dining extravaganza held under a mystical canopy each night.

Located on the outer reaches of your hidden wonderland, under the canopy of the cosmos playing host to infinite dreams, will lie the magnificent Glamping Village. Porter Service, spacious ready-made dwellings, home comforts and additional luxury features abound in this welcoming space of regeneration. Relax, unwind and indulge yourself with a decadent abode for New Year.

For the tiniest tribe members, a shady wonderland amongst the trees called Kids Paradise will host workshops, performances, dress-ups and adventures. Paradise Creche offers fully supervised three-hour sessions staffed by qualified childcare professionals for when parents want to play. And playtime for the grown-ups is magical with everything from roaming performers and artists, fancy dress, curios, games, installations and art.

An off the grid oasis for both fans of electronic and indie music, nature lovers and families, as well as the 30 somethings who like the finer things in life – at Lost Paradise there is something for everyone.
