THE FIRST EDITION OF SÓNAR LISBON COMPLETES ITS LINE UP FOR 2022.

The first edition of Sónar Lisboa will be held this year with 40 more acts on the bill. Among the acts that have been added to the programme are Arca, Bicep, Overmono, Richie Hawtin, Nkisi, Total Freedom and Elkka. It was previously announced that Honey Dijon, Floating Points, Charlotte de Witte, Thundercat, IAMDDB and others will perform at the Lisbon event.

With this first edition, Sónar Lisbon joins the more than 100 festivals held to date in more than 20 countries.

The first edition of the festival will take place on 8, 9 and 10 April simultaneously at the Pavilhão Carlos Lopes, the Coliseu dos Recreios and the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa, along with the Hub Criativo do Beato for Sónar+D activities. In total, four emblematic spaces that will make up a journey of discovery through the Portuguese capital through advanced music, creativity and technology.

Sónar Lisboa, like Barcelona festival, has scheduled 3 days and 2 nights and incorporates a focus on themes such as sustainability, science, technology and creativity.

According to a press release, the festival will host “talks, debates, workshops, immersive experiences and exhibitions focusing on sustainability as an underlying principle in the intersections between science, technology and artistic creativity”.

This 2022, in addition to the 29th edition in Barcelona (16, 17 and 18 June) and Lisbon (1st edition, 8, 9 and 10 April), Sónar will also present the festival in Istanbul (5th edition, 18 and 19 March).
