Vitalik Recordings meets Homies at Pikes

Both Vitalik and Homies are local Ibiza crews, Vitalik was conceived in 2006 from a series of underground free parties held in caves, fields and beaches and went on to find a more legitimate home hosting the Redbox at Space. With that, a name for the organised chaos was called for. Vitalik derived from Vital and Vitalism seemed apt for a venture focused squarely on the celebration and actualisation of living. The parties and label led by Ryan O Gorman have been a firm force of the balearic underground resistance ever-since.

Homies, the brainchild of Camilo Miranda and Christian Len was born in Barcelona in 2015, their philosophy and tagline “the best parties are always at home” is based on a party concept that converts any space into a house party. Their invite only parties in private spaces in Barcelona made a refreshing alternative to conventional clubbing. “A cozy celebration where feeling at home, comfy & crazy, breaking the rules of the normal club. An adventure discovering new music, sharing a dance, a conversation, a drink ,while partying with genuine people in a space where there ś no pose.” in their own words. When Christian became a more regular fixture on he island in his role at Ibiza Sonica they sought an Ibiza home for their party, Pikes was the perfect fit.

Both promoters are very familiar with Pikes having promoted their individual events there and holding DJ residencies, Ryan with XOYO and Camilo with DJ Harvey so there is comfort in knowing what works. The demographics each side pull from make for an interesting mix also, Homies being largely Spanish and Vitalik drawing from more more UK centric following. Their guests on the 28th are Balearic stalwart Chris Coco, Ibiza Sonicaʼs Karlos Sense, SIDD of Dacha Workshop, Jamie Roy of Do Not Sleep and Yawa Ze from Fiesta & Bullshit. Collectively they share a strong island presence with a following who are passionate about music and partying, expect the house party vibes will be strong on the 28th, make sure your name on the guest list, this oneʼs not to be missed.
